Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know I am Pregnant?
Pregnancy symptoms differ for every woman; some might experience no symptoms. However, the most common sign of pregnancy is a missed period. Other common symptoms that could detect the early stages of pregnancy include:
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea/vomiting
  • Tender/swollen breasts
  • Spotting
  • Aversion to certain foods
  • Cramping
  • Mood swings
It’s important to understand that only a licensed physician can diagnose pregnancy. If you have had a positive pregnancy test, call to schedule an appointment at Cornerstone Women’s Health Center to confirm your pregnancy. One of our licensed medical professionals will provide you with a free pregnancy test at no cost to you. With a positive pregnancy test, you may qualify for a limited obstetric ultrasound exam to give the most accurate information about the placement and development of the pregnancy.
If you are experiencing one or more of these symptoms, call our center or click on the appointment link to schedule your in-center appointment.
Is there a fee or charge for my appointment?
Our priority is to provide you with the proper care and support you need. That’s why all our services are at no cost. Even if you would like to make an appointment solely to talk to someone about your options, you will not be required to bring any form of payment with you.

Why is it important to get an ultrasound if I am considering an abortion?
When considering an abortion, a limited obstetric ultrasound exam performed by a medical professional is critical before getting an abortion. This exam is used to determine if your body is accepting the pregnancy and if the pregnancy is developing in the correct location. Our licensed medical staff will discuss this more at the time of your appointment. We are here to provide free healthcare services so you can get the answers and resources you need. At Cornerstone Women’s Health Center, we empower you to make an informed decision.
Can I bring someone with me during my appointment?

We want to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible during your visit to Cornerstone Women’s Health Center. Feel free to bring your partner, a friend, significant other, sibling, family member, or parent with you to your appointment.

Can I be pregnant and have an STD?

Unfortunately, you can be pregnant and have an STD at the same time. Having an untreated STD while pregnant can cause serious harm to you and your pregnancy. If you’ve had unprotected sex with a high-risk sexual partner or shared needles, it’s important that you get tested immediately.
